“The Disposable Memory Project” attempts to document the journeys of many by passing around disposable cameras for people throughout the world to take photos. Disposable cameras are released out to the different countries in the world under a tracking system and photos from each successfully returned camera are uploaded onto the project’s website for public’s viewing.
Alike to the “Book Crossing” project in 2001 which people would pick up distinctly tagged books to read and then leaving the books at public areas after reading, for others to pick up the books and continue the books’ journey, “The Disposable Memory Project” works in the similar manner, but instead of books, the starring lead of the project is disposable cameras.

Youths' newfound love for healthy recreation in nature
Wednesday, November 18, 2009
BY: PRISCILLA CHUA
There had been a rising concern that youth’s lifestyle are ‘at risk’ due to the lack of recreational activities in Singapore. Recreational opportunities are important to youths as it can help to improve both their physical and emotional well-being. This also helps to prevent them from getting addicted into unhealthy hobbies such as gaming and whirling away their hours unproductively on social networking sites.
In response to this, National Parks Board (NParks) had been committed in introducing new recreational parks in the past one year. These fresh attractions were well-received by the youths. This is especially for Dairy Farm Nature Park and Xtreme SkatePark @ East Coast which were launched recently.
